The book I'm working on at the moment is provisionally titled 'Turf War', and it's set in North London during May 1999.

The story centres around ongoing tensions between Turkish, Albanian and Afro-Caribbean crime gangs who all want to sell their merchandise in the same locality.

When an ambitious crime boss drafts in a team of contract killers to dispose of the opposition hierarchy, it's up to Tyler and Dillon to stop them before a bloody turf war erupts all around them.

The idea came from my experiences while working on the robbery and crime squads in Hackney during the early nineties, when gang feuds often led to extreme violence, and murder was not an uncommon outcome.(less)
